About Fototik

Is downloading TikTok photos allowed?
Downloading a public TikTok photo post for personal use is allowed in most places, but copyright law is not identical everywhere and TikTok's own terms have their own say. It is worth a quick look at the rules where you live before you share or build on pictures made by someone else. Fototik reaches only posts that are already public, and it holds nothing once your JPG files finish downloading. Keeping a slideshow to view privately, or saving images you want to look at later, is normally fine. Turning around and publishing them as if you shot them, or selling them, crosses a line unless the original creator says yes.

How sharp are the saved images?
Fototik saves each picture at the resolution the creator uploaded, so a slideshow shot on a modern phone comes down as a full-size JPG rather than a shrunken thumbnail. Nothing gets re-compressed or squeezed into a strange format along the way. A standard JPG opens in every gallery and photo editor, from the built-in Photos app to Photoshop or GIMP, and it prints without fuss. How crisp any single image looks traces straight back to what the creator posted in the first place. A sharp upload gives you a sharp file, and a soft one stays soft.

Is a TikTok account needed?
No. Fototik runs off the public link you copy from TikTok, nothing more, so there is no login screen and no password to hand over. Because of that, it can only open posts that TikTok displays publicly. Anything locked to followers, or on a private account, stays out of reach. The same goes for deleted posts: once TikTok pulls the images down, there is nothing left for Fototik to fetch. So grab a photo post while it is still live.

Will it run on my iPhone or iPad?
Yes, both work, and neither needs an app. On your iPhone or iPad, open whichever browser you already use, be it Safari, Chrome, or Firefox, then head to fototik.to. Paste the address of the photo post and press Download. Your JPG files show up in the Files app inside the Downloads folder, ready to move into Photos or edit. The routine on Android is identical, just through Chrome, Samsung Internet, or another browser you prefer. Nothing extra is required beyond the standard save-file prompt your browser already shows.

Do saved photos carry a watermark?
No. TikTok stamps its watermark onto videos, not onto the still images in a photo post, so the JPG files you pull come out clean from the start. Fototik adds nothing of its own either, no logo in the corner and no branding buried in the file. Whatever the creator put in the picture, such as text they typed onto it or a sticker they placed, stays there, since that is part of the image itself. On the video side, Fototik strips TikTok's watermark so those come down clean too. Either way you get the media as it was posted, minus any mark from us.
